ST. ANTHONY SCHOOL NEWS
THEME 2026-2027 LIVE BY THE SPIRIT

In St. Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians, Chapter 4, Verse 32, he says, “Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.”
What do these words mean to us as followers of Jesus? These words tell us what it means to be Christian, and how God calls us to “Live by the Spirit” so as to grow His Kingdom on earth and live holier, happier lives.
This school year, we will spend time focusing on the Sunday Gospel readings and what they tell us about how we can “Live by the Spirit” each and every day.

Verse from the Gospel:
Knowing the malice of the Pharisees, Jesus said, “Why are you testing me, you hypocrites?” (Matthew 22:18)
Word of the week:
hypocrites
Jesus lived with the constant threat of being trapped by those who wanted to be rid of him. This week, think of when your words and actions reflect God’s love.

Prayer for the week:
Lord Jesus, I am sorry for the times when I am not a good example of God’s love in my words and actions. Forgive me and help me to love. Amen
