Prayer is an indispensable component of the Catholic Faith. The Catechism of the Catholic Church, which explores prayer extensively, says that the mystery of faith requires that the faithful believe in it, that they celebrate it, and that they live from it in a vital and personal relationship with the living and true God. This relationship is prayer. Thus, it could be said that one’s prayer life is deeply connected to the very faith they claim to profess because true faith is rooted in prayer.
